Course Description

Basic and intermediate skills including:

  • Absolute and Incremental Programming
  • Linear Interpolation
  • Drilling with Canned Cycles
  • Circular Interpolation
  • Cutter Compensation
  • CNC Control Panel Operation
  • Geometry Offsets
  • Work Offsets
  • Tool Length Offsets

This class will meet face to face with a certified instructor one evening per week, 4 hour duration, for 10 weeks. Students will be given the opportunity to test programs utilizing simulators.

All resources are included. All students in good standing will receive a CNC Mill Programming certificate from Keystone Central School District Career & Technical Center. Attendance and performance standards required. Students are encouraged to bring a flash drive to store their work. CNC Milling Programming Certification from the National Institute of Metalworking Skills available for an additional cost.

Non-credit training programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, providing you with effective face-to-face and web-based learning programs. Instructors/course mentors are actively involved in your learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed. The training programs offered through Workforce Development are not part of academic degree programs.
