Course Description

Basic and intermediate programming skills including:

  • Setting the Environment
  • Basic CAD Drawings
  • Drilling
  • Drill and Contour Toolpaths
  • Drill- Contour, Pocket Toolpaths
  • Geometry Creation of arts
  • Facing Operations

This class will meet face to face with a certified instructor one evening per week, 4 hour duration, for 10 weeks. Students will be given the opportunity to test programs utilizing simulators. Students will be exposed to multiple versions of MasterCam.

All resources are included. All students in good standing will receive a CNC MasterCam Mill 2D Programming certificate from Keystone Central School District Career & Technical Center. Attendance and performance standard required. Students are encouraged to bring a flash drive to store their work.

Non-credit training programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, providing you with effective face-to-face and web-based learning programs. Instructors/course mentors are actively involved in your learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed. The training programs offered through Workforce Development are not part of academic degree programs.
