Course Description
This training program is designed for team leaders in support roles who do not have direct supervisory authority but play a crucial role in team success. It focuses on enhancing professionalism, communication, conflict resolution, and an understanding of basic management principles. Through interactive activities, discussions, and hands-on exercises, participants will develop essential skills to support, guide, and influence their teams effectively while maintaining professionalism in their roles.
The program consists of three 1.5-hour training sessions covering:
- Effective Communication in Support Roles – Enhancing clarity, active listening, and professional communication.
- Navigating Professional Relationships and Boundaries – Building trust, managing workplace relationships, and handling conflict professionally.
- Understanding Individual Differences & Managing Difficult Conversations – Adapting to diverse personalities and navigating challenging workplace conversations.
Non-credit training programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, providing you with effective face-to-face and web-based learning programs. Instructors/course mentors are actively involved in your learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed. The training programs offered through Workforce Development are not part of academic degree programs.
