Course Description
SHRM is short for the Society of Human Resource Professions.
This SHRM Certification Test Preparation course is delivered fully online and consists of ten interactive learning modules designed to help participants successfully prepare for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam. The course provides a comprehensive review of SHRM’s Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge™ (BASK), covering both behavioral competencies and technical HR knowledge areas. Each module combines content review, applied scenarios, and practice questions to reinforce learning and build confidence. The interactive online format encourages engagement and real-world application while allowing participants the flexibility to progress through the modules at their own pace.
Learning objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of SHRM’s Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge™ (BASK), including both behavioral competencies and technical HR knowledge areas.
- Apply HR concepts and best practices to workplace scenarios similar to those presented on the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams.
- Analyze situational judgment questions and select responses that align with SHRM-recommended practices.

National Certification: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be prepared to sit for the SHRM-CP Certification Exam. The SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential is a globally recognized certification for HR professionals that demonstrates expertise in operational HR practices and the ability to implement policies and strategies. It validates proficiency in areas such as employee relations, talent acquisition, and compliance, positioning holders as trusted HR practitioners.
Non-credit training programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, providing you with effective face-to-face and web-based learning programs. Instructors/course mentors are actively involved in your learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed. The training programs offered through Workforce Development are not part of academic degree programs.
